{SNR Card Universe} Fun Spring Fling and Blog-a-Log

My Sketch World has joined with {Scrapbook News and Review Card Universe} with the 2 week Spring Fling and Blog-a-Log.

My Sketch World presents a tutorial today

Create Your Own Scallop Template
By Lucy Chesna

Supplies
CM circle punches 1 ½ , 1 ¼ , 1 and ¾
CM trimmer
Scraps to punch the circles
8 ½ x 11 white cardstock or chipboard to make your template
Pencil
Ruler

Step 1: Punch out your circles from scrap of paper. You would need your CM circle punch size 1 ½, 1 ¼, 1 and ¾

Step 2: Take a 8 ½ x 11 paper and on the long way draw a straight line about. You would need to make another 4 straight lines about 2 inches apart.

Step 3: Then take on of the circles you punched and place it on the middle of the line so that half of the circle is passes the line (like a half moon). The trace the top only with your pencil and repeat till you are done across the line.

Step 4: Erase the line then cut out around the half circles

Step 5: Trim away the bottom so it can look like this

Step 6: Finished and now you can repeat the steps with the next circle punch and this is what they will look like after. You can use these templates for your layouts and cards

Check out the {March Sketch Contest} that we are having. Stop on by at the {FORUM} for more challenges that has a mix of card and layout challenges that all will love. The designers and members are having a great time so come on over :)

SNR sent me your way! Thanks for the tutorial as that looks much simpler for me than the punch thing! Also loved your sketch thumbnails!! Glad I found you!

I saw you through SNR... love the sketches! I love this idea... I have done it a few times and it saves money and customizes your Background strips or paper. Thanks for the step by step!

Great tutorial Lucy. I actually never thought of doing this before. Being an ex-cm you would have thought I could come up with this. Lol! Thanks for showing me. This is a great way to use up some scraps.
Love all that I am seeing here. God Bless you on your success and may more come your way. Cheers.
